Why do you think September 11 occurred?

I've heard a few stories and I believe it was Muslims. It was planned obviously by the Al Qaeda (however you spell it). I have even heard some say it was planned by our own governemt so we could have an excuse to raid Iraq and Afganistan to get to their oil. That idea is possible but it just doesn't sound right.
