IF You've Read the Scarlet Letter, How Would You Have Wanted It To End?

If you've read the Scarlet Letter by Nathaniel Hawthorne, are you satisfied with the way it ended? If not, how would you have wanted it to end? I'm doing an extra credit ignment for english, so I wanted some ideas from you all on what to write for an alternative ending for the story. Thanks to those who can help!
