Is the FBI a force for evil or a force for good?

Maybe when it first started the FBI MAY have had a political agenda, but I dont think that is the case today. You dont see the FBI backing politcal candidates or arresting people based on politics. Its like saying the local police department has a political agenda. It doesnt.
